About 12notez

Last updated October 24, 2026

12notez.com is a set of free audio tools that run in your web browser, plus a catalog of studio gear with side-by-side spec comparisons. It is for people who record, mix, podcast or practice at home.

The tools

  • Key Finder: Find the musical key and Camelot code of any song in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
  • Loudness Meter: Measure LUFS, loudness range and true peak, and see if a track or podcast is too quiet, too loud or clipping. Nothing is uploaded.
  • Vocal Remover: Separate vocals from the instrumental in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
  • Room Mode Calculator: List a room's standing-wave modes up to 300 Hz, check how evenly they spread, and estimate the Schroeder frequency.
  • Mic Test: Measure your mic's noise floor, plosive energy and sibilance frequency live. Nothing is recorded or uploaded.
  • Voice Recorder: Record from your microphone, play the take back and download it as WAV or in the browser's own format. Nothing is uploaded.
  • Tone Generator: Play sine, square, triangle and sawtooth tones from 20 Hz to 20 kHz, pick a note, set the channel or run a sweep.
  • Pitch Changer: Change a song's pitch by semitones and cents, or its speed, without changing the other. Nothing is uploaded.
  • Sound Test: Check speakers or headphones: left and right channels, stereo panning, polarity and a frequency sweep up to your browser's top frequency.
  • Voice Changer: Record your voice or open a file, apply a pitch or effect preset, and download the result as WAV. Nothing is uploaded.
  • Slowed + Reverb Maker: Slow a song down and add reverb, or make a nightcore or 8D audio version, then download it as WAV. Nothing is uploaded.
  • Audio to MIDI: Turn a recording of one voice or one instrument into notes, check them on a piano roll and download a MIDI file. Nothing is uploaded.
  • MP4 to MP3: Extract the sound from an MP4, MOV or WebM video and save it as MP3 or WAV. Nothing is uploaded.

The tools need no account. They process audio on your own device: a file you open is not uploaded, and a recording stays in your browser until you download it. The vocal remover downloads its AI model from Hugging Face the first time you use it; your audio still stays on your device. Each tool page has a privacy note that says exactly what runs where.

How the gear pages are made

Every spec in the gear catalog and in the comparisons comes from the manufacturer's own website, and each figure links to the page it was taken from. A comparison says only what the makers state. When a maker does not give a figure, or gives it on a different basis, the page says so instead of guessing.

We do not run lab tests, score products or show prices. Some pages may link to stores with affiliate links, explained on the affiliate disclosure page. Commissions do not change which products are listed or what a comparison says.

Who runs it

It is run by 12NOTEZ Studio, the team behind 12notez.in. Owner: Sudeep Jain, [email protected].
